INTRODUCTION TO TROOPS
Unit Types Introduction
Unit type counters
In Nexus War, we have 3 types of units: Infantry, Artillery, and Tank. They work like a rock-paper-scissors game: Infantry beats Artillery beats Tank beats Infantry. This means that if you pick a unit that counters another unit, you'll deal more damage and have a better chance of winning. It's like having the upper hand in a game of strategy!

This countering relationship is reflected on some heroes' skills.
Infantry Heroes: Disarm Skills
Once an enemy team has been disarmed, that team then will not be able to use their normal attack or onslaught skills on that turn. That means that disarm skills counter artillery armies, as artillery armies are heavily reliant on onslaught skills.
Artillery Heroes: Onslaught Skills
"Onslaught skills" are skills that will randomly trigger after a normal attack. Mostly utilized by Artillery, they can deal massive damage to the opponent, making already strong artillery-based armies even more...Explosive.

Tank Heroes: Silence Skills
Silenced heroes cannot use active skills. Moreover, Silence skills are the bread and butter of Tank-based armies and their heroes. This means that, for Infantry players who rely on the DPS of their active hero skills, tank armies are their worst nightmare.
Boosting Your Units
Boosting your unit's performance is a key strategy in winning battles. Here are a few ways to improve your unit buffs:
Research technologies and upgrade buildings related to your units.
Your race also provides buffs to your units.
Certain city skins can grant additional unit buffs.
Curious about your unit buffs? Simply tap on City Hall, go to City Management, and select Soldier to check them out!
Unit Training
Training units requires resources. The Infantry and Artillery are trained in their respective barracks, while the Tank is trained in the Plant. Remember that each unit has its own designated training location.

Unit Levels
Each unit has a total of 9 levels. To unlock the first 8 levels of a unit, you'll need to upgrade your buildings. However, reaching the 9th level of any unit type requires researching the corresponding technology.
These important technologies can be found in the research centre under "Combat – Army Enhancement – Killing Machine".
To check out the specific details of each unit type, simply tap on Barracks, select training, choose the level, and then tap on the exclamation mark.
Keep in mind that lower-level units typically have lower Power, HP, attack, and defence stats, but they also require less mega fruit upkeep compared to higher-level units.
On the bright side, lower-level units have a faster marching speed and better load capacity. And remember, if your army has units with different marching speeds, the titan will move at the slowest speed of any unit in the army.
Upgrade wisely and conquer with ease!

DETAILED TROOPS OVERVIEW
Unit Level Upgrades
You can level up units that are not currently in an army by using resources. Unfortunately, you can't upgrade and train units at the same time. To upgrade a unit, simply tap on "barracks/plant – training – select level" and then tap on the upgrade button to complete the process. Remember, you can only upgrade one type of unit at a time.

Understanding Hero Skills and Unit Types
Do you know that some heroes have special skills that only work with specific types of units? If a hero is not leading the right unit type in battle, their skill won't activate.
But don't worry! You can easily learn about these synergies by checking out the hero page. Just click on a hero and look for their tags under their name. These tags will tell you their role and which unit type they should lead.
And if you want to filter heroes by unit type, just use the filter button at the bottom right corner.
Unit Synergies

The hero's skill will only activate when leading Infantry.
Purple/orange heroes with these skills include Kyutta, Orlaith, Minerva, Marteau, and more.

I think the current YouTube videos aren't quite up to par, so I've chosen not to include specific units guide videos here. Instead, you can check out the full official Nexus War playlist on their YouTube channel. I'm planning to create my own units guide video for Nexus War soon, so stay tuned for that!
