INTRODUCTION TO TROOPS
An Overview of the Troops Used in King of Avalon
Are you curious about the troops and their abilities in the King of Avalon? In this article, we'll explore every troop type and dig into their strengths, weaknesses, and their roles in gameplay. By the end, you'll have a comprehensive understanding that may even boost your prowess!
King of Avalon, an RPG, boasts an array of various troops types, each catering to a unique play style and tactical approach. Broadly speaking, they fall into five main categories: Infantry, Archers, Cavalry, Siege, and Beastiary.
The Infantry
Envision knights with shining armour leading the battle charge, sword in hand. They have two subtypes: swordsmen and pikemen. Swordsmen, with their balanced stats, are the jack of all trades, while the pikemen, with their robust defence, shield your army from cavalry.
The Archers
Ever seen arrows raining down upon enemies, throwing their ranks into chaos? That’s the archers in action. They function in two capacities: longbowmen and crossbowmen. With their high attack stats, they are a fearsome force on the battlefield.

The Cavalry
Swift as the wind, the cavalry is all about speed and mobility. Split into knights and horsemen, they form the tactical strike force of your army. Knights have excellent attack power making them ideal for aggressive tactics, whereas horsemen with high speed are excellent at hit-and-run.
The Siege
These are the big guns, specialists in tearing down enemy fortifications. They include onagers and balistae. Onagers, with their immense siege capabilities, are ruthlessly efficient at in attacking castles, while balistae are excellent at long-range support.
The Beastiary
A troop type like no other! This involves the use of mythical beasts to aid in your battles. These could be dragons, golems, or other creatures of legend. These are rare and often have exceptionally high stats.

DETAILED TROOPS OVERVIEW
Train your infantry troops at the Barracks. Upgrading will allow you to access stronger infantry units. Plus, it seems like the resources, requirements, and timers are consistent across the Barracks, Range, Siege Workshop, and Stables.
I have included a breakdown for the kind of resources and times you can expect for each upgrade level, using the 'Barracks' as an example. You can also use this example for the other upgrades as mentioned above.

Which Troops are Best for a Battle March?
Deciding which troops to send into battle can be overwhelming with so many options available. The key is to have a good mix of Infantry, Bowmen, and Cavalry in your march. Focusing on just one type of troop is not the most effective strategy – it's all about the synergy between the different fighting techniques of these main troop types. While Siege troops are weak in battles, they may have their uses in certain situations, such as in KvK Excalibur Invasion where you may need to sacrifice troops. Remember, variety is key when putting together your battle march!

THE T.E.B.A. TROOPS GUIDE FOR K.O.A.
When deciding which troops to send, consider using a variety of tiers for better results. Many players think sending only top-tier troops is the best strategy because of their high stats, but using different tiers can be more effective. For important marches, try sending a mix of 6 tiers instead of just 3. And for mixed marches, include all tiers with a special emphasis on your top-tier troops. This balanced approach can lead to better outcomes in battles!
