Merlin is an awesome choice for leading your Ranged PvP troops. His kit is all about boosting this troop type and even gives a little extra love to Siege Machines for added versatility in mixed marches. The real standout is his Special Skill, Weaving the Fate, which buffs Ranged Troop HP and Attack by 45% and Ranged Troop and Siege Machine defence by 30%. Just keep in mind that most of his buffs are only in play during attacks, so he's not the best choice for Defence.
