Before you actually dive into the game, you have the freedom to select from a fantastic range of seven diverse cultures. These cultures are inspired by mighty civilizations from history, including the European nations, America, and more.

But hold on, these cultures aren't just about appearance. Actually, each one comes with its own unique set of features. These features act like bonuses in the gameplay, enhancing factors such as attack damage, resource output, and other cool stuff.

Just remember, there's no such thing as a flawless culture in the game. It's true that certain cultures may hold certain advantages over others to some extent. Take Korea, for example. Their ability to produce lumber at a faster rate can greatly assist players in constructing more empire structures, resulting in quicker development. However, even with these advantages, there isn't a single definitive best culture in the game.

As a general tip, pick the culture that best suits your goal for the empire. If you want to focus on ramping up food production, then choose Japan. However, if you want to have a better attack rate for your ground troops, pick China.

Building Blocks for Success: Exploring the Essentials of Basic Resources and Buildings

Here are the three vital resources you need to develop your city:

Food: This resource is essential for training troops, whether they are ground, ranged, or mounted. It is also a requirement for constructing buildings in your empire. Food is produced in farms.

Lumber: A primary ingredient for constructing and upgrading buildings, lumber plays a significant role in city development. Saw mills are responsible for producing this resource.

Stone: While not overly important in the early stages of the game, stone becomes crucial as your empire grows stronger. It is mainly used for training high-level troops. Quarries are responsible for producing stone.

Remember, managing these resources effectively will lead to the successful growth and prosperity of your city.

To generate more resources, you have two options: either construct additional facilities or upgrade the existing ones individually. Keep in mind that resource-producing facilities can only be built outside the empire's walls.

To improve buildings, you typically need a specific amount of food and lumber. Occasionally, certain buildings can only be upgraded once your Keep (aka your main headquarters) reaches a particular level. The duration of an upgrade varies, ranging from a few seconds to a few hours, depending on the desired building level. If you're in a hurry, you can instantly complete the upgrade by using gems. Additionally, when you construct a new building, the initial two upgrades are on the house. However, for subsequent upgrades, you'll need to spend diamonds.

Once you've upgraded your buildings with the necessary resources, it's good enough for a while. However, if you want to boost your production efficiency, you'll have to invest in research at the Academy.

The Academy is a special building that allows you to enhance various aspects of your empire internally. All you need to do is spend some gold coins on research. There are eight categories available, each offering a range of fields to delve into. If you're looking to upgrade your resource production, head over to the "Advancement" section.

Keep in mind that you'll need to meet certain conditions in order to unlock further upgrades. These conditions might include reaching a certain level for your Keep or Academy, or even completing one branch of research to a specific level. Each branch can be upgraded a maximum of 10 times, so choose wisely and strategize accordingly.

When you level up your empire's wall, it boosts both the overall defence HP and the capacity of your traps. So, if you've been repeatedly witnessing your cities fall into enemy hands too easily, fret not! Now you know exactly what needs to be done.

Keep: The Keep holds equal, if not greater, importance compared to your wall. It stands tall in the heart of your empire, resembling a massive castle. The Keep always maintains a higher level than any other building.

If your intention is to upgrade buildings that have either matched or come close to the Keep's level, then you must raise the level of your Keep as well. By increasing the level of your Keep, you gain access to new buildings, increase your resources such as gold, expand your general capacity, and much more.

However, be prepared for the fact that upgrading your Keep may require a considerable amount of time to complete. Nonetheless, the end result will undoubtedly prove to be well worth the wait.

Academy: This is the place where you can dig into some serious upgrade research! The Academy is a crucial building for your progress as it empowers your empire with mighty upgrades, enhancing its overall strength.
